At the end of 2019, I retired after 28 years managing clients’ oil and gas interests at First Financial Trust Company. My wife, Kay, continues to work as a REALTOR®.
We are deeply rooted in Abilene. We both grew up here with Kay graduating from Cooper and myself from Abilene High. We moved back to Abilene from Houston in 1986 after following other career paths. Our daughter, Sabrina, and her husband, Ben, live in Oklahoma City with our granddaughter, Chloe.

Kay and I believe in serving the city we love. I am currently on the Board of the Volunteer Services Council at Abilene State Supported Living Center and previously on the Board of Noah Project.
I have filled many positions at First Christian Church including Board Chair, Chairman of the Trustees and Chair of the Finance Committee as well as serving as an Elder and Deacon.
Kay has served on numerous boards and civic organizations in Abilene. We both participated in Leadership Abilene and the Citizens Police Academy and served jointly as Honorary Commanders at Dyess until we graduated to Golden Eagles.

Upon retirement, I knew I wanted to serve in civic organizations. I became aware of the APF when Kay and I attended a reception for the finalists for the position as Abilene’s Chief of Police. Impressed by APF’s mission, I contacted Joy Ellinger and expressed my interest in serving the APF and enthusiastically joined the board in 2021.
